About Aim with Purpose
At Aim with Purpose Education, we believe thriving schools don’t happen by accident. They are built through intentional leadership, aligned systems, and cultures rooted in respect, inclusivity, and joy.
We partner with school leaders and communities to align vision with action—strengthening leadership capacity, cultivating positive school culture, and implementing practical systems that support both excellence and humanity. Because when adults feel supported, students thrive.
Vision matters—but so do the daily structures that make that vision real. This work is relational, strategic, and grounded in practical implementation.
About Me
I have worked in education since 1995, beginning in traditional public schools before spending most of my career in Montessori and nonprofit independent school communities.
I served as an elementary teacher until 2013 and as Head of School from 2013–2026. For more than 15 years, I have also worked as a teacher educator, supporting adult learners as they grow their instructional practice and deepen their understanding of purposeful, child-centered education.
Throughout my leadership journey, I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated educators, leadership teams, and boards to cultivate strong school communities. Together, we have clarified vision, strengthened culture, aligned systems with mission, and supported teachers in doing meaningful work. I have served on multiple boards, including the American Montessori Society, where I also chaired the Peace and Social Justice Committee, and I have presented at local, regional, and national conferences.
I believe that joyful learning is purposeful learning. Schools are strongest when leadership is shared, relationships are authentic, and systems support the people within them. Outside of my professional work, I love to read, write, run, hike, bake, travel, spend time with family and friends, and laugh whenever possible. I believe joy belongs in leadership—and in life.
